Founder/Clinical Director
Tandra Carter-Williams, LCSW
Tandra Carter-Williams is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and founder of Carter Counseling Center. She has been practicing in the field of social work since 2007, earning her Bachelor of Social Workbefore completing her Master of Social Work in 2012. She is currently a Doctor of Social Work (DSW) student at the University of Memphis.
Tandra brings experience across medical, community, and behavioral health settings and specializes in supporting high-functioning professionals and women navigating anxiety, burnout, and life transitions.
Her therapeutic style is collaborative and strengths-based, integrating cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and reflective practices such as journaling and bibliotherapy. In addition to therapy, Tandra provides clinical supervision, mitigation consultation, and wellness-focused programming designed to support personal growth and whole-person well-being.
Administrative Coordinator
Brenda Carter, MS
Brenda Carter holds a Master of Science in Criminal Justice and brings over 25 years of experience in corrections. She has extensive experience facilitating group programs within correctional facilities, including anger management, parenting, communication, and life skills groupsfor incarcerated individuals.
Brenda has also served as a corrections counselor supporting individuals with intermediate mental health needs, helping participants develop healthier coping strategies and personal accountability.
Her background provides valuable insight into mitigation support and justice-involved populations, strengthening the work of Carter Counseling Center through both operational support and an informed understanding of rehabilitation and personal growth.
